Pack a Brighter Future: Donate a Back-to-School Backpack

Please consider helping children from the Department of Children and Families in Norwalk, CT by donating a backpack with the following items. Amazon has many of these items at reasonable prices. 

Our goal is to collect 60 backpacks! Drop backpacks off at the church office before Wednesday, August 14th.  Our delivery of backpacks is scheduled for Thursday, August 15th.

Also, please make a monetary donation by noting the word “Backpacks” via Zelle donations. 

Elementary School

  • Books (age appropriate)
  • Tissues
  • Colored pencils, crayons, drawing pad, erasers, pencil sharpener
  • File folders (colorful)
  • Glue sticks, markers
  • Journal/notebooks
  • Ruler
  • Scissors (blunt)

Middle/High School

  • Books (age appropriate)
  • Colored pencils, pens, erasers, scissors, pencil sharpener
  • Compass
  • Drawing pad, file folders, geometric stencils
  • Glue, glue sticks
  • Markers, notebooks, journal
  • Ruler
  • White out

Church office hours are Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 3:00pm.
