Children & Youth Ministry
“Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” (Matthew 19:14)
At First United Methodist Church, children and youth can come to know and love God in a supportive community. From the youngest ones through high school, they are cared for, taught, respected and celebrated as part of our church family. We have adopted guidelines and policies to protect the children in our community, including screening all paid staff and volunteers that work with children in our programs.

Nursery & Child Care
We want parents with young children to worship and participate fully in church life knowing their children are well cared for. Professional child care can often be arranged during the 10:30 am service for children up to age 3 if Covid protocol allows. Call the church office 203-324-1323 or email admin@fumcstamford.org to be referred to the appropriate person.
Professional child care can usually be provided at other times (for special programs, studies, meetings, choir rehearsals) with advance notice 203-324-1323.
Christian Education
As Covid protocols allow, FUMC will resume its Christian Education activities. Please call the church office for Fall 2022 updates at 203-324-1323.
