Inside the Club

Our Communications Club kick-off was a fun & creative working meeting. We talked about different types of content, the media for sharing it, and what defines effective and engaging communication for a church.

The following ideas resonated with the group:

When we create content and programming for the church it is important to have an outcome or goal that we want to achieve in mind.
Identifying your intended audience is the first step towards creating engaging content.
Our ideas for reaching internal audiences might not always resonate with external audiences.
Effective content development requires that we communicate to a specific audience that we understand who they are and the challenges they face.

During the second half of our meeting, we worked as a group on a new video project conceived by Koby Ofori. We also reviewed other potential initiatives including a social media project. Stay tuned for more about these projects.

Our next meeting is February 21st at 6:30 pm.
