"It is more blessed to give than to receive" Acts 20:35

Giving is an expression of our thankfulness and praise towards God. First United Methodist Church accepts any and all offerings with love. We accept anyone into our church free of charge as we are a non-profit, but we are always so grateful for your donations. Every Sunday we do plate offerings at our services in which you can voluntarily donate.

God asked in the Old Testament to give a tithe, or a tenth because this ten percent represented the first, most important portion of all they had. The New Testament suggests differently, it simply says for each to give “in keeping with his income”.

Whatever you can donate is very much appreciated. If you are looking for other ways to donate we have so many other options. As the holidays and other events come around during the year, there are so many opportunities in which we can use the help with donations.  At Easter we accept donations to make Easter baskets for kids whose families can’t afford them, and in the months prior to our youth Summer mission trip, we are always creating different fundraising ideas for our community to get involved in.
